Eurycoma longifolia
Eurycoma longifolia has become popular for its ability to enhance testosterone production. It is widely used in supplements for bodybuilders. Eurycoma longifolia has been long used in Southeast Asia for its anti-ulcer, anti-pyretic, anti-malarial, cytotoxic and aphrodisiac abilities. Several scientific studies suggest that it can even enhance sexual performance.
Description
Eurycoma longifolia is a small evergreen tree found in jungles throughout Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The tree can grow upwards of 12 meters in height. Natives of Southeast Asia utilize every part of the eurycoma longifolia tree for medicinal purposes.
Benefits
Scientific studies have revealed that eurycoma peptides and related compounds do indeed help to release more free testosterone from its binding proteins. In studies done on mice, reports show an increase in energy levels and enhanced sex drive. In the limited studies done on humans, eurycoma longifolia has shown to lower fatigue, heighten energy, enhance mood, and provide a greater sense of well-being.
Additional benefits of eurycoma longifolia include:
- The ability to maintain weight loss
- Maintain muscle mass and metabolic rate
- Enable hormonal changes which allow for continued weight loss without a plateau
- Athletes and body builders use eurycoma extract for boosting testosterone, improving muscle size, strength, and performance without steroid drugs
Safety Notes
Scientific studies have predominantly been performed on mice. Consumption of eurycoma should be restricted until more information on human trials is obtained. Orovo recommends that you consult a physician before you begin taking any new health supplement blend.
